It seems as though, in the beta version at least, the player was encouraged to jump into the incinerator. One intriguing change seems to involve the wake-up chamber, where the player first encounters GlaDOS. Evidently, since the launch of Portal: Companion Collection on Nintendo Switch, these maps have now come to light, and show some interesting behind-the-scenes of certain aspects of the game during its development cycle. You have to be on NSO to play online, and the friend searching only seems to look for your Nintendo Switch friends so I would be inclined to say no it does not support cross play. Including Portal and Portal 2, the Companion Collection comes with all the groundbreaking gameplay, dark humor, and exploration that earned the series hundreds. As far as I’m aware, Portal 2 coop doesn’t have cross play. The video goes on to explain that Valve has been very good at keeping beta content out of the hands of the general public. It grants access to online play with other switch users. I look forward to playing them both again. Even if you're someone like me who absolutely hates games with a first-person-shooter perspective, Portal and Portal 2 are phenomenal. They are absolutely amazing games and I can't believe they are coming to the Switch. There were also a number of test maps, such as one that featured the material emancipation grill and a number of cubes in a small room. Both games are fantastic, although Portal 2 really takes everything to the next level.
